Bangladesh Food and Nutrition Society ( BFNS ) was established in 2010 with some young, energetic, dynamic and visionary people. Bangladesh Food and Nutrition Society ( BFNS ) has been registered by the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies, Bangladesh under The Societies Act, 1860 ( Act XXI of 1860 ) in 2014. It is non political, non profitable social welfare organization. The Society is formed by Nutrition Experts, Agriculturists, and other Health professionals. This Society was established to develop and promote awareness regarding nutrition and safe food in Bangladesh. The interest of individual members in playing their roles in promoting the nutritional well being of the communities they serve are therefore paramount. The standards of scientific training, attainment, research capability and sound professional practice are essential ingredients of any professional body of repute and BFNS seeks to promote and ensure that its members meet the highest standards of professional practice. Although established in Bangladesh, membership of BFNS is worldwide and open to nutritionists and other professionals with a genuine interest in nutrition and how it impacts on human and economic development in Bangladesh.
